Milford Sound, Christmas 1982
Back then, I borrowed my friend's (the late Dr. Paul Buckley) Olympus OM1 SLR to bring with me on an epic road trip around the South Island of New Zealand. Unfortunately (or fortunately at that time), I shot with Ektachrome film and the slides did not preserve well in the heat and humidity (and molds) of Manila. I had a few cleaned and printed but none of the prints survived from the constant moving (and storing) except this one that somehow I managed to digitize in the early 1990s. Back in 1994 when I started putting up work on the then nascent World Wide Web, web space was expensive (a 30mb web space cost about 20 bucks a month) that I had to size a photo to only 360 px in the longest dimension.
